Semi-open: And more family gone
Who: Crowe Altius, Nyx Ulric, open to other residents of Nyx's house, close CR who want to poke?
Where: The (former) Salvatore house, Nyx's house, miscellaneous.
When: The evening after Elena disappears and thereafter
What: Dealing with fallout. And dangers.
Warnings: Emotions. Nyx Ulric. Kingsglaive/FFXV spoilers. Probably that's about it.
[Semi-Open]
Crowe heads out to Elena's house immediately after work. Because that's what she's been doing, checking on the siblings daily.
Except today, she knows that something is wrong the moment she is in view of the house. The curtains are hanging wrong. Something. She all but runs the remaining distance, knocking on the door.
It's Nyx who opens.
ooc: After the initial reaction, they will probably head out / head to Nyx's house. If anyone wants specific starters/ideas, hit either Kiki (Discord works, if irregularly) or Adi up.

Nyx doesn't say anything as he steps back to let her in. The house doesn't particularly look any different. But there's a quietness that suggest he is very much alone in the building.

That's very ladylike and everything. But it sums the situation up nicely.
Crowe crosses her arms in front of her chest, leaning back against the door.
"Anyone else?"
She knows he would have checked. He might even have checked up on her, too, just called the movie theater and asked if she was there.
He'd know. And he has more people who are important to him than she does. Closer ones.

He leads the way back to the living room where he'd been sleeping. The few things he'd brought are packed neatly in a pile on the couch already. A quiet acknowledgment that he'll be going home and leaving this past behind.

She's not good at this. She utterly sucks at giving comfort. But Elena showed her that this works, at least a little, and she'll try it.
And she'll try something else, too, while she's so very close to him that she can talk very, very quietly.
"The way things are going, might as well set up a place for everyone that matters to check in. So we don't have to wonder if something happened or whatever. So if somebody missed doing it..." She swallows. "And we can write down what we remember."

"I already have," he murmurs into her hair, grateful that in this they're on the same page. "I've been writing everything down for days." Whenever he had a spare moment between suddenly running a business and trying to keep up appearances in town. The sheriff told him to stop pushing. What the sheriff didn't know won't hurt him.

"Good. So that just leaves the other one. I'll come up with something." Okay. People here covered, she allows herself a moment to consider Elena. It's different with the other three. By the time she knew, the this-place memories had already faded. Not so with Elena. She still cares and, intrusive as that is... She doesn't want to stop.
But she can guess she has little choice in the matter.
"I hope she'll be all right. Maybe they simply sent her home. Where she won't miss Stefan and Damon and Katherine anymore." It's not like Crowe hasn't expressed unfounded optimism before.
Except then there was usually Luche to point out where she was wrong, and Crowe tightens her fingers into the back of Nyx's shirt at that thought.

"This is just fucked up." They've lost enough people over the years to know how they take it. Forgetting about missing people... "Like she's only been a figment of our imagination. Except she's real." She refuses to use the past tense, there.
Crowe takes a deep breath. She ... probably should touch the bit about losing sisters but fuck if she can. Especially when it's Nyx, who's not taken down the words of his actual sister even years later.
"Let's get outta here. I can offer a spar. At the gym, or maybe going out near the Fence." Because you can expend a lot of effort while not causing much damage there. And Crowe suspects giving him something actual to punch may be the most she can do for Nyx just now. Much as she wishes to give him an actual target. (If only Pelna was here. He'd have figured out half this place already. Or Lu--
Stop this.)

Nyx is no use to himself here, and if he stays and stares at what this house represents any longer he's going to throw caution to the wind and burn the whole thing down.
"Yeah. Yeah, let's go. I can't... let's go spar."
