[ it's a tuesday, and eliza remembers the sour expression she got from the sheriff last time she was outside on a tuesday. so it's with a smirk that she pulls two gallons — one mint and one neopolitan — of ice cream out of the freezer. while humming to herself, she grabs a tray, four bowls, six spoons, and a fold-out table to rest everything on.

out onto the front porch she goes.

it's relatively warm, and it takes the ice cream just a few minutes to soften up enough to spoon out into a bowl or two. or three. or even all six.

twirling a bowl on her clawed fingertip, eliza then offers it to any passers-by who happen upon the house. ]
