Who: Leia Organa, Natasha Romanoff, other people in jail maybe?
Where: Jail.
When: Backdated to the 21st.
What: Leia's looking for Steve and Poe, and finds other folks in jail. Talking commences.
Warnings:None.
[Closed to jailbirds.]
Leia Organa had gone looking for Poe after he'd made his joint post with Steve on the network. She'd gone looking for Steve as well, and after a day of discrete searching, the general had finally had enough of this just looking around thing. Instead, she pulled on the mantle that she wore in the Senate, that she wore when she was being the General and people were depending upon her, and she had forcefully entered the police station, because it seemed like it was the only other place they could be when they weren't in the hospital.
Leia had checked there first of course; she knew how regimes could hurt people for breaking the rules like the two of them had done. Like they all had done really, every person who had cut the tracker from their leg or had tried to escape. Regimes wanted to punish, but this one had wanted them alive so she'd thought the hospital was a safe bet, even if the nurses had looked at her like she was crazy when she'd demanded to be allowed to see them.
But they weren't in jail, that was what she had been told in the sheriff's office as well. And of course no one could tell her where they had gone. Now, Leia knew that neither of the two men who had done this were stupid, and they wouldn't have done anything like this without backup. So, instead she had changed tacts and had asked if there was anyone who was actually sitting back in the jail cells. There had to be, because the town felt rather empty during her looking around today. With a grim smile, they had let her back into the cells, and Leia walked into them with her head held high.
She'd never allowed any low level underlings to scare her, and she wasn't about to now.
Instead, she went looking for the woman whom she knew that Steve lived with, because if there was a good place to start with, Leia reasoned, it was probably going to be her.

Steve wouldn't just leave. Not after what he'd said on the network. So she bides her time for that first day, laying on her bed in her cell, staring up at the ceiling. And she waits.
She's not expecting a visitor, so when the woman approaches her cell, Natasha doesn't do more than glance over with a frown on her face at first, arms behind her head. She does a head to toe assessment of her visitor, and is vaguely impressed by what she sees, so she sits up, head tilted to the side curiously.
"I don't believe we've met."

But not as more than a joke, not here. No, she wants to keep the memories of that part of her hidden. Oh, whoever is holding them knows who she is, but she doesn't want them to know what she knows other than what has been glimpsed between herself and Poe. And of course what she's going to give away here and now to this woman who Leia knows is much, much more than she appears to be. It's a snap judgment, but Leia has long ago learned to live by the feelings in her gut.
"I'm Leia Organa. I'm the principal at the school. And I'm a good friend of Poe's." Idly, she wonders if Poe mentioned her to this new band of resistance fighters beyond the ones that she already knew the names of from her universe, but expects that he probably has. Hopefully. At least if he did it would make the conversation go a bit easier so that they could speak somewhat at code.
