Clary gave the cat space to look around. Cat's were usually finicky things and she didn't want to force it to come with her.

"I'm going to head to the police station. I over heard that my clothes might be there." She had no idea why she was talking to a cat but it made as much sense as everything else. "You're welcome to come with me. Hopefully I have some money so we can get something to eat."
