( there's at least some comfort in seeing how pepper tries to help her by actually listening instead of trying to get her back in her room. the staff is nice, yes - but they seem to have some selective hearing regarding certain questions and concerns.

but this young woman - she listens. and there's something truly comforting about that.

a deep breath, then another; the tight feeling in adora's chest seems to slowly relax and she pulls the gauze away, papping her lips a couple of times just to check if the bleeding has stopped. there's two trash bins in the cart and she opts for the infectious one - it's blood, it's a hospital, and she distinctly recalls it being mentioned in class some time ago.

(class? biology? her mind is fuzzy - she's no longer in school, but it's slowly creeping back on her that she works there). )

I'm sorry. ( she offers a weak smile, straightening up somewhat despite the pain on her back. there's a short pause wherein she reaches for some more gauze - just as a safety measure - and scrubs the corners of her lips in case they're stained. ) Thank you- for not calling them. I don't want to be here anymore.

( it's not as much a matter of choice as it is of necessity, but she feels better. if she has to go back into that room, she'll definitely panic. ) I'm ok - really, this cough is... I'm used to it. I've had it since before the accident.

Why are you here? ( in the hospital. and why is she roaming around? )
