[ pepper is already formulating at least a dozen different excuses for having left her room should she be caught by a nurse or a doctor. she doesn't want to have to go back and the thought of doing so is knotting her stomach with mounting unease. a hospital shouldn't induce this sort of stress, but a couple of fog bound memories have her overly upset. ]
[ as she rounds the corner she finds it in her to sigh, because, thankfully, it's empty. starting towards the stairwell clearly marked at its end she isn't exactly expecting to be blindsided by a scrap of paper... but stranger things have happened. it startles her, to say the least, and she moves out of view as she holds her breath. ] ...
