( howard's dark eyes carefully follow the woman as she moves silently around the store. the way she's holding pretty tightly to that backpack plants a seed of suspicion in his mind. gives him the idea that she's hiding something in there. the time between her entering the store and him greeting her is long enough that she could've shoplifted a great number of items. that might explain why she's asking about "hotspots" — no doubt, a lie told in order to cover her tracks.
