[ With the absence of one of its usual employees, Roman's stepped in at Go Ask Alice. He isn't much more than a man at the front but someone as social as him in this small town is sure to be noticed; after the announcement of the fake memories, possibly even moreso. Here is the man whom the memories claimed has been here for quite a while, longer than conventional wisdom says he should be. So, which is true? The town's artificial memories or the idea that he might actually only be as old as he looks?
Hard to tell, really, since he's acting close to the same as ever. If he's a little wary with those he doesn't have specific memories of, that's only natural. He's still friendly, good service, has his daughter—Iris, not daughter by blood, but they've been over that already—swing by after school if she's available, banters with the other employees if there's anyone else on shift. Fairly typical stuff despite any of the turmoil going on outside the shop's atmosphere. If he still doesn't quite answer to the name Roman right away, well, can anyone blame him?
One thing can be said: this guy is a master of compartmentalizing. ]
