Iris opens her mouth, but then she closes it when she thinks better of it. It’s silly to think of the consequences of talking about her past when they are being attacked by creatures faster and stronger than anything they’ve ever seen in this place. But she just doesn’t want to make things worse- either now or when things calm down.

And yes, she fully believes things will calm down eventually. They have survived this far, they can survive whatever these creatures bring them, she’s sure of it.

“I doubt so either, but they are reacting very well to the situation. We even made this safe house to rest and recover… it’s impressive what we do when we’re being attacked.”

She hesitates a little bit, pulling some hair behind her ear. “And I haven’t heard from Gladio since this mess started, but he’s probably protecting people all over. I trust him, he’ll be fine.”
