[The light of the blade causes a memory to burst behind her eyes, and she sees a flash of green being wielded by her brother in a desert. For a moment, the image lingers on her retinas, but that's all the time that Leia Organa allows herself to see it. Later she'll look it over, rotate it this way and that and attempt to find the right empty spaces in her memory that line up with it's bumps and rounds. Now is not a time for introspection; it's a time for action, and she can literally feel the upset of the children in the back of her van as much as they attempted to keep their cries silent.
Nodding to Alec, Leia looks over her shoulder just once, and she speaks softly, but her voice carries in the way that it always does, filling the car around them.]
Shhhhh, it's going to be alright. Alec is a good fighter, and he's going to help get us there. Picture the light around him too.
[Good thoughts couldn't hurt, she'd decided, even if they were just enough to keep the kids calm. Somehow she expected that these things could feel their panic just as much as Leia could, and the last thing she wished to do was to ring the dinner bell and bring more of them falling around them.
Keeping her eyes out, she nodded to Alec, and she hits the auto button on the window letting it roll down as she shouted back.]
Be careful!
[She could see that he could handle himself, of course, but she also didn't want him to get hurt in the defense of her little band.]
