Justine is familiar with hospitals, doctors offices and specialists offices. In a way, they were all the same: the veneer of clean stark white surfaces, those fake friendly smiles and those sad eyes that are inevitably pointed at her.
Her eyes drop and she gently pushes at the blanket draped across her lap. The hazy feeling is slowly fading. She can feel the pressure of something else, teasing at her mind, testing her rationality.
