For a moment, Alec resented whatever was going on. He had his family here. They were supposed to be safe. There had been signs that something was off, but it wasn't any worse than what they'd dealt with in New York. There'd always been someone trying to force them into roles they didn't want. The cameras and signs in town just made the attempts obvious instead of the covert, 'it's for you own good' methods used back home.

Knowing that being angry over the situation wouldn't change anything and could possible get them watched more closely, Alec pushed aside the negative emotions, rolling his eyes at Izzy's banter with Magnus. It helped to have Magnus close, knowing that he wasn't in danger. "I'm not going to get jealous of Izzy," he countered, arm automatically sliding around Magnus' waist. "I already know that she's amazing and could steal me away from you if we weren't married."

Stepping away from Magnus so he could take the lead and deal with the cameras, he gave his husband's fingers a light squeeze to indicate he understood the question. "Only me and Izzy, but we promise not make it too painful." Looking over at Izzy, he gave his sister a wry smile as he made sure that she was following. "You and me with staves and then Magnus against me with magic?" If they needed the cameras disabled for more than what was normal for them, flying fireballs should distract whoever was watching the video.
