"She thought I should wear something brighter that matched Magnus." He wasn't sure if that'd been a joke or if it was one of those weird thing couples were supposed to do that he hadn't known about. Magnus hadn't seemed too bothered by the lack of coordinated outfits, so Alec assumed his husband wasn't disappointed.

"I don't know if I managed it or not. I don't think so." For some reason he didn't think he'd ever do something like that to Jace. It was too similar to something... To what?

"Jace isn't a jerk." That wasn't quite true. "Sometimes he can be a jerk but it's mostly because he doesn't know how to interact with people. Neither one of us really do."
