"We'll turn you to the side of fashion, form, and decoration sooner than we thought, then." Izzy winks, only joking about that. She knows that he's probing a point. And decoration and style...they're not Alec's thing and that's okay...even if it is her's...and Magnus' too. Taking another bite of her jello, Izzy nods a bit. "I can give it a shot. Maybe I'll experiment with a lot of fruit or something."
Danger, Alec Lightwood, your sister wanting to experiment in any form with fod...is probably a bad idea. And a part of her is even aware of that fact as she says it. Yet it still comes out with a confident smile on her face, all the same. She really doesn'tw ant to talk about their mother. "Disapproving of everything?" Izzy suggests before giving a purposeful shrug. "Sure, we're fine other than that." Sarcasm. See, she can utilize it too?
Shaking that off because it's easier to not talk about her mother than to focus on the subject of the woman for very long, Izzy rolls her eyes. "Says you. You need to keep an open mind about food, just like you should fashion, Alec....and I wasn't serious about the tuna fish thing. I don't want to make my favorite brother-in-law mad so early on." She teases easily. Not to mention she wouldn't subject Alec to that either, but, she's not saying it that way. Alec's the one that gets teased, sorry big bro!
Scrunching her eyebrows a bit, Izzy can't help the decisive shake of her head. "Alec, he's already finding his way here. He's an outgoing person....socially he'll manage what he needs and romantically....you're enough. He wouldn't be here with you now, wouldn't have married you either, if you weren't enough for him. You've just got to realize that you are." Izzy lifts her hand from his arm and forms a fist, playfully, and gives her brother a very light tap in the same arm. "Don't doubt yourself, or what you have, because you do have something special. Something that I hope I can find one day." Izzy offers, trying to do her best to reassure her older brother.
