As he spoke the words, they rang true though he hadn't remembered any of those nights until a moment ago. Fingers tightening around the small dish of jello he still held, he slurped it up in one go and made a face. "Maybe it's more an issue of texture, come to think of it."

Chuckling at Izzy, Magnus recalls some comments that Alec had made about the muffins. "He mentioned something about them being useful in a fight," he teased with a wink. He admired Izzy's efforts and constant determination to cook, though he thought that he might have to gift her a cookbook if she continued making use of his and Alec's kitchen.

His eyes followed her gaze around the loft, and he nodded happily. "I am, it's nice to see that some people saw the public invitation and decided to arrive. If it had been just family and friends, I'm afraid it would have been a much more intimate gathering."
