Izzy wasn't the only one that was fascinated with the Jell-O. Magnus had told him that it was a common dessert in the fifties and that it was still popular, but for some reason he didn't think he'd ever tried it. Shouldn't he have eaten it at one time if it was a common, Mundane food?
Whatever the reason for the lack of Jell-O in his life, Alec was willing to try it now. Grinning at his sister, he took the sliver she offered. Making a face when he bit into it and realized how odd the texture was, he tried to decide if he liked it or if it was something to avoid at all cost. The flavor wasn't bad. He just wasn't used to food that was so wiggly. "I didn't realize it was so popular then." Looking at the display, he shrugged. "Maybe it was the easiest thing to - " Alec mimicked one of the gestures Magnus used to conjure up various items. "Whip up."
Picking some of the orange with fruit in it, he decided that he didn't mind the texture if there was something else with it. "I don't think Maryse ever made it for us."
