Part of her appreciates the sentiment, but because she doesn't know Poe very well, she doesn't know if that's even something to be promising. Jyn doesn't lie very often and only in part because she's absolute rubbish at it. There is little point to lying anymore, especially when they truth is usually far more damaging.
