He admits, just the barest hint of bandages visible on one shoulder from the angle he's leaning in and the rest of his injuries still obscured behind the door.
Because he's not quite braced for that conversation just yet and, really, he knows what happened to him, more or less (a... bike accident, right? except, what sort of a bike accident left you with burns like that?).
Kal on the other hand? Is a bit harder to diagnose. And after his uncle's death he can't help but worry about what family he has left, even chosen family like Kal.
