[ ignis truly can't fault this place for being a royal pain in the rear. he gets it; even when he'd woken up in this place he'd spent a few days in a complete daze, wondering why his bar restaurant felt weird or how talking to his cousin had set alarm bells ringing. now things made sense but as it stood just opening his mouth and saying as much would not be worth the trouble it would bring. if gladiolus followed everyone else he would soon remember and until then ignis knows he needs to be patient.

it just feels like a kick in the teeth. ignis can barely remember a point in his life where one gladiolus amicitia looked at him without a hint of recognition. in all honest it's disconcerting and ignis can't help but push his glasses up with an index finger, taking some kind of refuge in the familiar motion.]
