Um. [ The answer is no, of course, because they didn't say anything about her at all. David bites his lip, brows lifting in a look that's more blatantly guilty than thoughtful. ] No. I mean, just that... she...

[ While Wanda is a big blank, other things are settling into place. The fact that it was never him remembering the name, for one. And while there should probably be more shock involved with the realization that he pulled a thought out of someone's head, right now he's more about finding a plausible lie.

It isn't quite so natural as instinct, trying to reach out and learn more. It feels too deliberate for that, like turning the pedal on a bike before you've really got your balance. It still works. David hears a voice, Pietro's voice, the word never. Then it's all gone, swept up in a shrill white noise that makes it hard to focus. ]

Ow. [ The comment's apparently unprompted, sounding more annoyed than genuinely pained. This is probably starting to look conspicuous. At the very least, he's looking less and less like someone who should be leaving the hospital. David lifts a hand to pinch at the bridge of his nose, then crosses his arms, trying to regain his focus and act semi-normal. ] I'm not— sorry, no. I don't remember.
