It made her feel so guilty that she didn't remember these people, that she felt absolutely no connection to the woman standing there with her. But at least Caroline didn't seem upset with her about it.

"Actually..." She glanced back into the house, considering everything she'd been through so far that day, before turning her attention back to the friend she didn't know. "Could we go somewhere else? I know I'm supposed to know this place, it's my home, but-- I don't, and that's making it harder."
