It's clear to Dom that this Dameron character is a guy who pays attention to his surroundings. Good. She respects that—after all, it's ... what she had to do. When she did her job. Whatever that job was.

When she meets his gaze there's a moment where the social awkwardness drops, and something sharp and observant acknowledges, silently, you saw it too, huh? And then she's talking again, faintly silly, a little too enthusiastic.

"You don't know what a blondie is?" She's not too shocked by that, though. Maybe it's a regional thing, the way people outside of the northeast don't know about Italian spritz cookies. "It's like a brownie but without the chocolate. I heard someone saying the ones over here are the best. Something about using a little molasses in the batter." She nods toward the table in question.
