[clint's out of coffee at the house which, he guesses if he's been at the hospital for the last couple days then he wouldn't have exactly been able to go shopping for more before today. he is heading to the grocery store after this to do just that, but expecting him to be able to handle things like coupons or cashiers (who always seem to be chewing gum while they're talking to him and make trying to read lips an honest nightmare) without any caffeine in his system is simply asking too much from him.
so he's stopped by the town coffee shop with his dog lucky at his heels, muddles his way through ordering the largest size they've got and is leaning against the counter waiting for his order when his eyes land on jesse at his table.]

[clint is, of course, the king of hypocrisy, considering he's currently sporting bandages wrapped around his ears and jaw, as well as one across the bridge of his nose. this is pretty much normal for him though, or at least, he seems to be wearing the bandages casually enough. that could just be because he hasn't had his coffee for the day yet though, hard to tell.]
