Ana had been out for a run when she came across the man who had the same dazed expression as everyone else seemed to have on their first day. Really, she didn't know how they expected people to be alright with it when it was so damned clear that there was something wrong and that someone was bringing them in intentionally. Still, she hadn't figured out the who or the what of that, or who it was alright to talk about that with, so Ana just ignored it up front, like everyone else seemed to, and thought about it in the back of her mind, like she was sure that everyone else did as well.
This man seemed to be muscle, and she was amused as hell by that, so she paused, barely winded and barely making a sweat though she had been running for a fair bit of time. Of course, she was still dressed in her running clothing with her hair in a ponytail because that was what single teachers happened to do on days when they wanted to keep their things straight, was it not?
"Are you alright, darling?" Her voice was smooth as if this happened every single day in town, which on some days, it actually did. "You look like you might be a tiny bit lost. Happens to all of us on our first day." Her smile was definitely 'oh look how polite I am' but her eyes seemed to say more than that, giving her words a weight they might otherwise not have had.
