He let the eggs sizzle, wanting them to change in texture before beginning to scramble them around. This didn't mean he could cook, or that he was a cook, but basics he had down. Especially breakfast basics. He'd perfected his pancake.
Dirty talents aside, he spoke.
"You're a joiner. Not that you just, joined every club, but you volunteered and helped with town events. You have a knack for helping. You read people, and most importantly, you know when their help would benefit us and when it - wouldn't." Daggering Rebekah sat at the forefront of his mind then. "You're not psychic, people do prove you wrong, but you learn from those mistakes. Any other talents I might mention won't be fair, or appropriate," he said, turning to look at her. "Technically, we just met."
With that mischievous smirk back, he focused on the eggs. Setting the spatula down, he moved to the bread, untwisting the end. Taking out two slices, he tugged open the front of the toaster and set the slices of bread inside, setting it. Picking up the loaf he spun the bread so it twisted back up, using the tie to seal it again, returning it to where he'd found it.
The eggs his priority again, he scraped the wood (oh how he missed silicone) spatula around, trying not to let a drop of scrambled egg be lost.
