They didn't get along. It didn't fit with what Elena was remembering, not in the slightest, but that itself did fit with what Damon had told her. That none of this was real, their lives before were different. So while she was slowly starting to get tiny glimpses of having a big sister who she adored, she knew that it wasn't real. It just... really felt like it was.

One more inching step forward, and she said in a tiny, hopeful, slightly scared voice, "You're my sister?" Did Katherine remember it too? Was it real, at least in this place?
