He reaches up to carefully cradle one of the cats against his chest, letting her hop up onto his shoulder to take a perch. Then he's pushing himself up to his feet.

"I don't charge employees," he says with a careful little wave, the non-touching version of a pat to her shoulder really. Then he's shooting her a smile and heading over to attend to a couple of other people who've just come in.
